Calculator FAQ

How accurate is the fax price calculator?

It uses each provider's published plan pricing, page allowances, and overage rates, and computes what your usage would cost on the cheapest qualifying plan. Promotions and negotiated enterprise rates aren't included, so treat results as a very close estimate.

I don't know my monthly page count. What should I enter?

A typical solo professional sends 20–50 pages a month; a small office does 100–300. Start with a guess, then check how the ranking shifts if you double it — plans with pooled pages are forgiving of bad estimates.

Does the calculator include annual discounts?

Yes. The billing toggle switches every plan between monthly and annual pricing. Annual billing is typically 15–40% cheaper and is what most providers advertise.

Are overage fees really that important?

They're where fax bills go to grow. At 10¢ a page, sending 100 pages past your allowance adds $10 — often more than the plan itself. The calculator adds overage costs to the headline price so you compare true totals.
